Peel Clothworkers' School

'Enjoyable Learning for Life'

This half term, Year 4 had the exciting opportunity to welcome TT rider Nathan Harrison, who shared his thrilling experiences of racing around the Isle of Man TT course and further afield at speeds exceeding 200mph!

Nathan captivated the students with stories from the saddle, and Year 4 truly impressed both their teachers and Nathan with their thoughtful and well-prepared questions. Despite facing technical issues that caused him to retire from two of his first three races, Nathan ended TT24 on a high note—achieving a new personal best lap of 129.156mph and securing an impressive seventh place in the Senior TT.

He also shared his ambitious goal for the year: to break the 130mph barrier. To do this, he’ll need to complete the 37.73-mile course in under 17 minutes and 24 seconds—a challenge he's determined to meet. When asked, he of course said “The TT is the best course in the world.” The children were pleased that they were allowed to have a sit on the bike and hear the engine revving.

The school would like to thank Nathan for giving up his time to come and visit us again, and we wish him the best of luck for this year's TT.708_708_2465155b9655fe384763c88bb3a726e0.jpeg?m=1748013366
