We are delighted to share the news of our new football goals! The goals are a wonderful addition to our school field and the children are absolutely over the moon to have use of the goals during their playtimes, PE and Games sessions as well as our extra curricular sports clubs.
75% of the goals have been funded by a grant from the Football Foundation with assistance from the Isle of Man FA, with the remaining 25% supported by The Tommy Clucas Community Sports Hall and The Kelvin
Dawson Hub, with fundraising planned by Peel AFC Juniors to contribute to this funding. The Sports Hall and Hub have also very generously funded a bag of new footballs as well as an electric ball pump. The teams at the Sports Hall and Hub were proud to support this project in memory of both Tom and Kelvin as former pupils of the school and in recognition of our school house, Dawson, being named after Kelvin.
On behalf of all of the children at Peel Clothworkers', we would like to thank the school dads, grandads and associates who were behind the orginisation and installation of the goals. With special mentions to Daniel Lace for donating the install building materials, the Sports Hall and Hub teams who supported the funding, the children who will take part in the Peel AFC Juniors fund raising and finally to Neil Cain. Neil has given up a lot of time coordinating this project, from helping with the Football Foundation grant, organising the charity donations to coordinating the work party to install the goals and we are extremely grateful. Thank you very much to all involved.
