'Enjoyable Learning for Life'
Monday: The sun came out and the children had a great time raft building, going down the zip wire, CSI Investigating, pond dipping and lighting fires. Roll on Day 3.
Tuesday:
The sunny and clear weather held again today and we had a lovely morning for being out on the river, canoeing. All groups did indoor rock climbing, with some of the most reluctant making it to the very top! Some groups have started their CSI investigations into a Kingswood-based crime. We’ve also made shelters in Bushcraft and given Jacob’s Ladder a go. One brave group has even conquered the Leap of Faith, showing a lot of determination, motivation, and high expectations! Our evening activities on Monday and Tuesday were Team Tech, and jumbo-scale construction challenge. Tomorrow brings yet another full day of activities.
Wednesday:
The weather has been beautiful today, with lots of sun and more warmth than we’ve seen so far. All children had a go on the Leap of Faith, showing excellent support and encouragement for each other, and a LOT of determination. We’ve also solved the CSI mystery, hunted for more creatures in the pond, and built up our teamwork and relationships in outdoor group challenges such as balancing a massive see-saw, getting through a web without touching the strands, and traveling through the ‘elephant’s graveyard’. Another great day! Indoor puzzle challenges tonight…
Thursday:
We all had a blast at cannon hall farm today, where we played on all the adventure playgrounds, stroked bearded lizards, rabbits, and guinea pigs, and looked at the cows, sheep, pigs and rare breeds in the breeding barns. Everyone is very excited for the disco!!!
