We had an amazing time at Cronk Y Berry School on Saturday for the 2019 Chess Congress. The team showed real resilience under some very tough competition. Overall the Peel team finished 7th overall out of 12 schools. At the start of the congress our reserve player James was donated to Vallajeelt School as they didn't have enough members to make up a team due to sickness. Vallajeelt ended up winning the whole congress! So well done to James for standing in and helping out the Vallajeelt team. Many thanks to Mrs Crellin and Mrs Casson for taking the team along and to all those who took part.
