'Enjoyable Learning for Life'

This term Year 2 have been growing flowers to be able to deliver them to our local nursing home, Castle View. We began by weeding the planting bed and turning over the soil. We planted sweet peas. Over the past few weeks we have been weeding, watering and watching them grow! This week, some Year 2 children have been to deliver our home-grown bouquet’s of sweet peas to the residents of Castle View Nursing Home. The residents were thrilled to get to chat to the children. The smell of the flowers filled the room, and the children told the residents all about the growing process. The visit was a wonderful way to celebrate the children’s hard work, bringing joy to the residents while strengthening our connection with the local community through a very special shared experience.
