On Saturday, the IOMFA Millennium Football Tournament took place at Union Mills Football Club. We took a team of very dedicated Year 5 and 6 footballers. Having won the group stage (winning six games and drawing one), the team were through to the quarter finals. They faced St Johns in the quarters, beating them 1-0 in a close game before facing Vallajeelt in the semis. The team battled hard but were unfortunatley beaten 2-0, bringing their tournament to an end.
The team played exceptionally well and demonstrated great sportsmanship throughout the tournament, doing the school very proud. Well done to all players and thank you to Mr Crookall and Mr Gawne for their support and time given up to coach the team this year.
