Year 3 enjoyed a slightly chilly trip on Tuesday, where we joined up with Beach Buddies to clean the beaches in Peel and surrounding areas.
We found a wide range of litter, including bottles, cans, vapes and fishing line. We even managed to dig up a bicycle tyre!
Bill Dale, founder of Beach Buddies, brought along the Energy Globe award he recently received in Norway, celebrating his pioneering work in educating children and young people.
Some of the children were interviewed by BBC Isle of Man about the learning they have been doing in class about the effects of plastic pollution. Look out for the news report on Northwest Tonight in the coming days!
