The first group of Year 6 children are at the Venture Centre this week. Despite some spells of very heavy rain, they have been having a fantastic time!
Day 1 -
Upon arrival, the children embarked on their first task of orienteering in the sunshine. After lunch, it was time to head down to Mooragh Park for sailing, canoeing and kayaking. The children had a blast and also enjoyed the power boats. In the evening it was time for a walk to the beach and for a wide game. Lots of fun was had and all children were very well behaved.
Day 2 -
Following a very popular breakfast of sausage, beans and toast it was time for gorge walking. The rain fell, the river was flowing and the children had the best time having fun and whizzing down the river! After a warm lunch of pasta it was back to the lake for raft building. The opportunity was taken to get as many water activities completed before storm Agnes arrives. The children enjoyed playing Predator in the evening and went to the tuck shop as a reward for their great behaviour and tidy dorms.
