Our Year 6 pupils have had a wonderful two-day trip away last week. After sailing to Liverpool on Tuesday morning, we hopped on a coach and traveled to Chester Zoo. The children had a brilliant time and were very lucky to see lots of amazing animals; the giraffes were a popular choice when voting for our favourite animal! The sun came out at lunchtime and the children played happily in the park whilst enjoying an ice-cream treat. Before leaving, we visited the gift shop and then hit the motorway for Manchester. We had a great meal at TGI Fridays and then settled down for the night in our accommodation. Following a buffet breakfast on Wednesday morning, we walked to the Manchester Science & Industry Museum. The children loved learning about Industrial Revolution and how science and technology has evolved over the years in Manchester. Later in the afternoon, we headed back to Liverpool and had a play in the sun before our final meal of the trip at Pizza Hut. The children were very well behaved and have made some wonderful memories to add to their final primary school memories.
A big thank you to our staff and parent helpers who have given up their time to provide this opportunity for the children.
A special thank you to our Year 6 staff, especially Mrs Fairbairn, for organising the trip and ensuring the children had a wonderful time.
